Frequently asked questions

  • What do I wear to class?
    Fitted shorts with tank tops and sports bras work best. Yoga pants make it difficult to stay on the pole, so avoid pants. Knee pads are also helpful in beginner classes. Please leave your jewelry at home and do not apply lotion.
  • What do I bring with me to class?
    yoga mat and water
  • How long are classes?
    50 minutes for each pole fitness class; workshop class lengths vary, depending on the class format
  • Do you have private lessons?
    Yes! Reach out directly at sospolefit@gmail.com so we can find the best time slot. Private lessons are 30 minutes long and are customized based on your personal goals.
  • Do you have private parties?
    Yes, “Girls Night Out” is the only private party currently available. These are not for bachelorette parties but are for clients who want all of their best girlfriends together to do a hybrid pole fitness/dancing workshop!
  • What can I expect when I arrive?
    Wait in the waiting room until 5 minutes before your class begins. This is your opportunity to make sure you’re changed in the changing room or to use the restroom!
  • Who is welcome to attend classes?
    Women ages 19 years old-100 years old! Please no males or students still in high school.
  • Do I have to have any pole experience?
    No prior experience necessary.
  • Do I have to be fit already?
    Any level of fitness works great. No upper-body strength required; that is what classes are designed to help with!
  • Do I have to share a pole?
    Yes, in full classes, you will share the pole with a pole buddy, wiping the pole to disinfect between turns.
  • How do I book a class?
    You can book all available classes and workshops online! Find the class or workshop you'd like to take on the booking calendar and follow the booking process. This includes filling out your contact details, completing the Medical Release and Liability Waiver (only required the first time), and then payment. You'll need to create an account if you plan to buy a class pass or if you'd like to save time booking in the future!
  • Can I bring a spouse or friend to watch?
    All pole sessions are for paying clients only. Sessions are private and not for viewing to friends or spouses. Friends or guests may wait in the waiting room during classes if necessary.
  • Is childcare provided?
    No, children may not attend as we do not have childcare and the waiting room is not secured in between classes.
  • Can I purchase a membership?
    Memberships will be available starting June 1st. Anyone can purchase a monthly membership once you have taken the three required "Intro to Pole" classes. Members can attend any amount and type of pole classes. Memberships may not be applied to workshops.
  • Can men take classes?
    Sorry fellas! This is a women’s only fitness studio.
  • What are the weight restrictions for a pole?
    Our poles have a 350 pound maximum
